DES MOINES, IOWA (October 8, 2020) — The number of initial claims in Iowa, filed between Sunday, September 27, and Saturday, October 3, was 4,730. There were 4,139 initial claims by individuals who work and live in Iowa, and 591 claims by individuals who work in Iowa and live in another state.

Quad Cities Chamber Opposes Increased Income-Tax Changes in Illinois

DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 29, 2020) — The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce joined other business groups in opposition to the proposed State of Illinois Constitutional amendment raising personal and corporate income-tax rates from a flat rate to a graduated rate.
