MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (May 13, 2024) — It's been almost a year since Monmouth College graduated its Class of 2023, and nearly all of its members are either employed or continuing their education.

According to the College's annual First Destination Survey, which tracks information from within six months of graduating, 98% of the College's newest alumni are either working or pursuing a graduate or professional degree.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 3, 2024) Chef Joseph Yoon, a world-renowned chef and champion for the potential of insect agriculture, will present the Roys Lecture at Augustana College on Monday, May 13. Attendees will have an opportunity to eat food prepared by Yoon featuring insect ingredients.

FAYETTE, IOWA (May 13, 2024) — Upper Iowa University (UIU) will introduce a new graduate degree program in the fall of 2024. The Master of Arts in Psychology degree will be a fully-online degree which will provide students opportunities for career advancement, especially for leadership and managerial positions. For students aspiring to pursue a PhD, the Master of Arts in Psychology at UIU will provide a robust foundation.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 9, 2024) — Six Augustana College students presented at The Mississippi River Research Consortium, held April 16-18 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Augustana-led presentations included research focused on microplastics in freshwater urban watersheds and land-use factors affecting erosion and entrenchment in the Goose Creek Watershed of Davenport, Iowa.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (May 9, 2024) — Just in time for farmers market season, the next Monmouth Associates program will focus on the Monmouth College Educational Garden and Farm.

The May 16 luncheon, which will be held at noon at Meks on Main, 201 North Main Street, will be the final meeting of Monmouth Associates for the 2023-24 academic year. The speakers will be faculty members Eric Engstrom, who teaches biology, and Craig Vivian from educational studies.
