UNIVERSITY, MISSISSIPPI (January 24, 2025) — The University of Mississippi announced students named to the Fall 2024 Honor Roll lists. The following local students were named to the Chancellor's Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00:

WESTMINSTER, MARYLAND (January 24, 2025) — Michael Cumberbatch of Davenport, Iowa (52807), has been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the McDaniel College fall 2024 Dean's List with Highest Honors.

Highest honors are earned for a semester grade-point average of 3.90 or higher, high honors for a grade-point average of 3.70-3.89, and honors for a 3.50-3.69 grade-point average.

Twenty-seven years before she earned her doctorate, Kari Shimmin graduated from Monmouth College

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (January 23, 2025) A full 27 years after she walked across the Wallace Hall stage to receive her Monmouth College degree, Kari Shimmin ('97) earned another diploma.

Last May, Shimmin received her doctorate in educational leadership from Western Illinois University, completing a journey that started five years earlier.
