DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 18, 2023) — St Ambrose University welcomed an incoming class of 425 students to campus this week and marked their arrival with an annual celebration of BEEcoming Ambrosian Day.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (August 18, 2023) — Veteran public safety expert Chris McLaughlin has joined Monmouth College's student affairs teams as director of campus safety and security.

McLaughlin came to Monmouth on August 1, after recently retiring from the Henry Hill Corrections Facility in Galesburg, Illinois, where he had over 25 years of progressive service. For many of those years, he served as the assistant warden and acting warden.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (August 17, 2023) — On Saturday, August 19, Coe College will welcome one of the largest and most geographically-diverse incoming classes in its 173-year history. With 436 new students indicating they are planning to enroll, the incoming class projects to be the third-largest class to ever enroll at the college.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (August 16, 2023) — Monmouth College has been named one of Money magazine's "2023 Best Colleges."

The ranking is based upon a school's affordability, quality and student outcomes. A total of 2,400 colleges and universities were eligible for the ranking, and it was given to only about 700 four-year schools.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 16, 2023) — St Ambrose University’s accredited doctor of occupational therapy program (OTD) is expanding its student cohort size and using an innovative hybrid delivery model to support student access into the profession of occupational therapy.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 16, 2023) — College alumni, parents and friends helped Augustana College raise $16.9 million during the 2022-2023 fiscal year. The support comes as the college prepares to enroll one of the college’s largest and most diverse classes this fall, with new Vikings hailing from nearly thirty states and forty countries.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (August 15, 2023) Monmouth College has received a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to help US teachers instruct their students about everyday life in ancient Greece.

The grant was the brainchild of Monmouth classics professor Bob Simmons and Louisiana high school classics teacher Nathalie Roy.
