PRESS RELEASE (March 29, 2019) — The Adrian Rubin Scholarship was created with our leaders of the future (current students) in mind. Over the years, college has become increasingly expensive and necessary. This scholarship serves the purpose of being able to help one student get closer to achieving their goal of landing their dream career without having to rack up hundreds of thousands of student loan debt in order to do so.

 

AMES, IOWA (March 28, 2019) — Olivia Gasper of Bettendorf, Iowa, has been named to the cast and creative team for ISU Theatre's spring 2019 musical "Godspell."

PEORIA, ILLINOIS (March 27, 2019) — Bradley University student, Sydney Ruggles of Rock Island, IL, will present research at the Midwestern Psychological Association Conference. This is the oldest regional psychological association in the nation.

Ruggles is part of a study that focused on attitudes towards sexual entitlement in online communities.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 27, 2019) — Augustana College announced more than 1,000 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2018-19 winter term. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (March 26, 2019) — More than 1,700 current University of Iowa students collaborated to raise almost $3 million in financial support for the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital as participants in the 25th annual UI Dance Marathon.

During the February 1-2 event at the Iowa Memorial Union, student participants unveiled the total of $2,960,403.25, which supports pediatric-oncology patients and their families at the hospital and advances cancer research.
