BETTENDORF, IOWA (August 6, 2020) — As communities across the country continue to assess how to overcome structural racism and inequality, United Way Quad Cities and partners Quad Cities Community Foundation, Visit Quad Cities, and Quad Cities Chamber are leading an effort to develop a deeper understanding on how inequity and racism affect our lives and community by launching the 21-Day Equity Challenge on August 24.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 3, 2020) — For 17 years, Midwest Hope and Healing offered encouragement and comfort to more than 3,800 breast cancer patients with the distribution of their signature healing baskets. Through the generosity of donors, Midwest Hope and Healing established a grantmaking fund at The Moline Foundation to continue their legacy of caring for those newly-diagnosed.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 27, 2020) — Lynn and Dennis Quinn (top center, with their children and grandchildren) started an endowment fund and seeded it with “a small amount” at the Quad Cities Community Foundation many, many years ago. Their intent was to begin a relationship with the Community Foundation, and then go from there.
