DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 16, 2021) — Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) announces an office move to a larger space in northeast Davenport.  After 15 years at 130 West 5th Street in Davenport, BBBS is relocating its headquarters to 3247 35th Street Court off Elmore and Kimberly Road in Davenport.  The move will be effective August 15.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 14, 2021) — Three families will be breaking ground on their new homes this Saturday, July 17, 10AM, in Davenport. The families will celebrate together with a ceremony for their family, friends, volunteers, sponsors, and members of the public. This is the first three of five new homes Habitat for Humanity QC will be building this summer on E 6th St in Davenport (761, 765, and 769).

BETTENDORF, IOWA (June 30, 2021) — United Way Quad Cities has announced it has issued $2.9 million in grants to 54 local non-profits, grassroots organizations, and others serving the residents of Scott and Rock Island counties. The Strategic Impact Grants are being awarded to advance equity and improve education, income, and health outcomes in the Quad Cities.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (June 23, 2021) — The Quad Cities Community Foundation has announced the recipients of its spring 2021 Nonprofit Capacity Building Grants. With up to $15,000 in funding available for each project, the grants provide powerful support for investments in equipment and technology, training for staff and board members, and strategic planning work, among other areas.

Churches United competes with other food-collection agencies in Iowa to see who can collect the most goods for their community.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 11, 2021) — The Moline Foundation Board approved $294,500 in grant funding for 48 area non-profit organizations. The Moline Foundation accepted applications for operating support along with the traditional funding areas of capital and program expenses.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 8, 2021) — The Ridgecrest Foundation is honored to host what they are calling a “Welcome Home Social” on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Ridgecrest Village. To fund this spectacular event, earlier this year the Ridgecrest Foundation hosted its first-ever online auction. The goal was to raise enough funds to host this Welcome Home Social. It has succeeded. The Ridgecrest Foundation had some funds donated to the Life Enrichment Projects for events like this.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 4, 2021) — Summer should be a fun time for kids to enjoy family gatherings and vacation time. But for children in some families, summer can bring hunger. The Summer Food Service Program of the Iowa Department of Education provides meals for those hungry children.
