BETTENDORF, IOWA (January 29, 2021) — The saying that youth are the future rings especially true in the Quad Cities, where the Quad Cities Community Foundation’s Teens for Tomorrow Program is helping create a bigger, better, and more active community. Teens for Tomorrow (T4T) is comprised of 30 students from Quad City-area high schools who are passionate about philanthropy.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (January 27, 2021 United Way Quad Cities is seeking proposals for grants for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program, which received $149,107 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

BETTENDORF, IOWA (January 26, 2021) — With local food insecurity at an all-time high, the members of Ascentra Credit Union, through an auto-loan promotion, generated $23,350 to be donated to the River Bend Foodbank. The donation will provide approximately 116,750 meals for local families in the Quad Cities, Clinton, and Muscatine communities in which we serve.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (January 7, 2021) — All Iowa schools have the opportunity to receive a new water-bottle filling station through the Rethink Your Drink program, funded by the Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation. Selected schools will have an old drinking fountain replaced with a new Elkay water-bottle filling-station.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (January 5, 2021) — In the spring of 2021, Goodwill of the Heartland plans to relocate its Iowa City administrative offices and e-commerce division. The organization will consolidate several of its logistics facilities into the former Klein Tools facility at 8200 6th St SW in Cedar Rapids.
