ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 20, 2020)  The Royal Neighbors Foundation has made a series of donations to five local non-profit organizations including the YWCA, Friends of Hauberg Civic Center, Heart of Hope Ministries, Living Proof Exhibit, and Best Buddies at Augustana College.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (November 19, 2020) — The Quad Cities Community Foundation is targeting the persistent racial disparities that impact the social and economic well-being of Quad-Citizens of color with a $50,000 Transformation Grant to United Way.

The grant will bolster efforts to reduce inequities across education, income, and health systems in the Quad Cities.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 17, 2020) — The Moline Foundation is pleased to announce workforce development awards of $55,000: $37,000 to the Quad City Career and Technical Education Consortium [QCC TEC] to support the transition to Xello Career Exploration Software, $3,500 to Black Hawk College’s Outreach Center, $1,500 to Black Hawk College’s Career Center, and $13,000 to Mercer County Better Together/High-Tech Small Town.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (November 16, 2020) Thanks to improvements in how charitable dollars are invested, Quad Cities Community Foundation donors are now able to grant even more from their funds each year to the community — and to causes meaningful to them.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 11, 2020) — The Moline Foundation Board approved $331,750 in grant funding for 49 area non-profit organizations. The Moline Foundation accepted applications for operating support along with the traditional funding areas of capital and program expenses.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (October 26, 2020) — Thirteen banks and credit unions serving the Iowa and Illinois Quad Cities have pooled their resources to give more than $130,000 to the United Way’s United for Equity Fund, created to address and solve inequities in education, income and health.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (October 26, 2020) — Every dollar awarded through the endowment funds and scholarships set up by Gene and Arlene Vincent through the Quad Cities Community Foundation has deep meaning for their family. The couple has two funds at the Community Foundation — the Vincent Family Scholarship, set up in 2019, and the Gene B and Arlene J Vincent Endowment, established earlier this year.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (October 14, 2020) — As of October 2020, nearly 160,000 people, including 55,000 children are now facing food insecurity in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. “There are over 50,000 more people in our service area who do not have enough food because of COVID-19,” said Mike Miller, president and CEO of River Bend Foodbank.

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA (September 30, 2020) United Ways of Iowa is partnering with Strategic Marketing Services and the Institute for Decision Making at the University of Northern Iowa to launch a survey aimed at better understanding the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and recovery on individual Iowa households.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (September 28, 2020) — The East Moline Community Fund Committee has approved $12,850 in funding for 14 area non-profit organizations.
