Springfield, IL - State Representative Tony McCombie (IL-71st) today released the following statement on the lack of progress on a state budget:
“With final two months of the spring legislative session in Springfield about to begin, there has been very little progress on drafting a budget. This is incredibly disappointing because Illinoisans needs a budget. We need a balanced budget right now.

Rep. McCombie’s traveling office hours will be held on Monday, March 27, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Colona City Hall located at 100 E 9th Ave, Colona, IL.
Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa today made the following comment on President Trump’s actions to begin rescinding the controversial Waters of the U.S. rule. Grassley has been an ardent opponent of the rule, which has been blocked temporarily by a federal court. The rule would have defined 97 percent of the land in Iowa as a waterway.
