DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 14, 2023) — Mark your calendars for the 2023 Alternating Currents festival August 17-20 taking place across more than two dozen venues in downtown Davenport along with key performances in downtown Rock Island and Bettendorf. AC features over 100 musical performances, comedy sets, film screenings, local art displays and even pro-wrestling.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 6, 2023) — The Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) seeks artists to create murals during the 2023 Alternating Currents festival. Five artists will be awarded the opportunity to create a mural that embodies the vibrancy of our Quad Cities community during the festival, which takes place August 17–20.

OTTUMWA, IOWA (July 6, 2023) — Main Street Ottumwa will host an eclectic gathering of artists, crafters, and makers in a one-day event that will have a fun carnival feel with family-friendly activities, busking street musicians, and artists of all types that is free to attend and open to the public. The event will take place at the 200 block of East Main Street, 10AM-3PM, on Saturday, July 15.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 5, 2023) — The inaugural Pulling Focus African American Film Festival of the Quad Cities will showcase 35 exceptional films over two enriching days, June 16-17, 2023. The event, hosted by the Azubuike African American Council for the Arts, aims to amplify Black voices from the Black Diaspora and celebrate the power of Black cinema.

The 47th annual Birds in Art opens on both floors of the Stanley Gallery on June 1 and will be on view through September 10. Artist Philip Laber’s printed works, House of Cards, opens on the second floor of the Musser McColm mansion on June 3 and will remain on view until August 6.
