QUAD CITIES—The Barn Raisers, a new documentary by regional Emmy® nominated filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle of Fourth Wall Films, will premiere on the Putnam Museum’s Giant Screen, 1717 W. 12th St., Davenport, Iowa on Saturday, January 28 at 6:30 p.m. The Quad Cities’ Barley House Band, whose music is featured in the film, will perform at the event, and Q&A with the filmmakers and other film participants will follow the documentary screening.

AMANA, Iowa –Come to the Amana Art Guild Painting Studio and enjoy the pleasure of exploring and painting your own ideas. This painting class is designed for both beginning and experienced painters using any medium. Bring your oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, or colored pencils. The instructor will work with you at your painting level, and will help you develop your skills at your own pace.

West Branch, Iowa— Third through eighth grade classes of the area are invited to attend free performances of Bright Star Touring Theatre’s USA to Z. Performances will be held March 20-March 24, 2017, 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. daily, at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library-Museum. Due to limited seating, teachers must make reservations for their class, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
