In celebration of National Quilters Week, the Figge Art Museum will showcase a number of colorful and hand-crafted functional artworks in the February 25 through March 7 Mississippi Valley Quilter's Guild Exhibition, with a special Appreciation Night for the exhibit's gifted artisans scheduled for February 27.

On February 6, art lovers are invited to celebrate the christening of the newly named John Deere Gallery at Davenport's Figge Art Museum, its walls featuring selections from the remarkable John Deere Art Collection. Visitors to the museum will have the opportunity to experience these internationally significant works of art, many of which were previously accessible only within John Deere’s corporate facilities.

A wide and beautiful variety of artistic media will be showcased in the latest group exhibition at Rock Island's Quad City Arts Center gallery, with Davis-Salazar, Weiland, & Regional Woodturners, through March 21, boasting new paintings by Katrina Davis-Salazar, sculptural ceramics by Brant Weiland, and 20 works by nine of the region’s best woodturners.

With the exhibition's originator revered for creating Vodou flags known as drapo for more than 35 years, as well as for pushing the boundaries of this traditional Haitian art form, Myrlande Constant: DRAPO will be on display in the Figge At Museum's fourth-floor gallery through May 4, the artist's escalating interest in expansive proportions finding some of the 17 works in the exhibition spanning more than seven feet.
