Images by Sara Slee Brown that take viewers one step out of reality will be displayed from October 13 through November 25, allowing MidCoast Gallery at Bucktown visitors a wholly original perspective on diners, phone booths, and other seemingly blasé elements of daily life.

For the season-opening production in the company's fourteenth year, the verse-theatre troupe the Prenzie Players will, from October 13 through 21, present its first staging of William Shakespeare's classic comedy All's Well That Ends Well – also the first Quad Cities staging of the play in more than a quarter-century.

Themed “The Many Voices of Vibes,” the latest concert in Polyrhythms' monthly “Third Sunday Jazz Workshop & Matinée Series” will be headlined by vibraphonist and Knox College professor Malley and her ensemble, with local musician and Black Hawk College professor Crockett performing as the quintet's trumpet player.

Having previously recorded Daytrotter sessions in 2011 and 2012, Seattle-based singer/songwriter Shenandoah Davis returns to the Quad Cities for an intimate concert at Rozz-Tox, showcasing not only her acclaimed indie-pop vocals, but piano skills lauded by Daytrotter founder Sean Moeller: “It's like a flock of peacocks are spreading their wings right out there in the middle of an Independence Day fireworks celebration's grand finale.”
