Composed of bass player Bob Skeat, guitarist Mark Abrahams, drummer Mike Trescott, and guitarist Andy Powell, the latter of whom began recording with the group more than 50 years ago, a legendary rock outfit plays Davenport's Redstone Room in the venue's March 8 concert with Wishbone Ash, an ensemble so gifted and venerated that its past openers at concert events have included the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, and KISS.

Performing a singular blend of Chicago blues, New Orleans funk, Grateful Dead-style psychedelia, and jazz fusion, the gifted musicians of the Joe Marcinek Band play Davenport's Redstone Room on February 24, a night celebrating the talents of singer/songwriter/guitarist Marcinek as well as Ola Timothy, Kyle Magnusson, Georgia Rae, and special guest Jason Hann of String Cheese Incident.

Presented as part of its Casual Classics series, St. Ambrose University will host a special multi-media performance and recital of Franz Schubert's epic song cycle Witerreise (Winter Journey) on February 25, a famed piece exploring how we can potentially reach out to those who are lonely and isolated, and how can we connect with community in ways that will allow us to feel included and needed.

Performing locally in support of their self-titled 2021 debut album, a recording Atwood magazine praised as “an album of many tastes all bundled into an impressively cohesive and consistently engaging set,” the artists of Wilderado play Davenport's Raccoon Motel on February 28, with The Guardian raving of their first LP that "each and every one of these 10 songs brings on an otherworldly sensation that is a surprising combination of danceable, heartfelt, laid back, and goosebump-raising.”

Lauded by Rolling Stone as an artist who delivers “hardscrabble honkytonk at its best, nodding to Johnny Cash and Buck Owens in equal measure,” country-music singer/songwriter Jeremy Pinnell headlines a February 17 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, the musician's 2017 album Ties of Blood & Affection, Rolling Stone continued, “a stellar collection that could earn Pinnell comparisons to Sturgill Simpson.”

Boasting performances from Augustana College faculty members, students, and guest artists, the college's Shockingly Modern Saxophone Festival will, on February 26, treat music lovers to a day's worth of solo and chamber music in an event exploring new compositions, improvisation, extended performance techniques, micro-tonality, electronic music, multi-media, and other experimental elements.

Described by Glide magazine as “one of the most unflappably earnest musicians on the planet” and by Grammy-winning icon John Mayer as “the best live performer I've ever seen,” rock and Americana singer/songwriter/guitarist Martin Sexton headlines a March 2 concert at Davenport's Redstone Room, demonstrating why Billboard magazine calls him “a star with potential to permanently affect the musical landscape and keep us entertained for years to come.”

With Music Taster's Choice labeling the musician “one of the top 10 guitarists in the world,” the acclaimed blues rocker Anthony Gomes plays Davenport's Redstone Room on February 25 in support of his most recent release Containment Blues, demonstrating the talents that led Blues Music Magazine to rave that the artist's "authentic voice and the formidable guitar chops place him in the forefront of modern blues.”

With his most recent album Change in Me described by Rootstime as “an enticing journey of jazz, blues, and rock” resulting in a “melting pot of sounds,” blues-guitar legend Eddie Turner headlines a special February 27 concert event at Davenport's Gypsy Highway Bar & Grill, with Blues Blast magazine saying that the artist “shines like a diamond” and Guitar Player magazine lauding Turner's “otherworldly, atmospheric guitar style.”

Appearing in an area-wide series of full concerts, pop-up events, and a special performance opposite his father between February 22 and 26, acclaimed pianist Barron Ryan serves as the latest guest in Quad City Arts' Visiting Artists Series, this up-and-coming musical sensation recognized as one of Smithsonian magazine's “Ten Innovators to Watch in 2021.”
