Held in memory of Chamber Music Quad Cities founder Connie Sauer-Adams, the mother of the ensemble's artistic directors Gregory and Thomas Sauer, CMQC's January 2 winter concert at Davenport's Trinity Episcopal Cathedral will feature Sauer-Adams' sons performing alongside their gifted musician wives Serena Canin and Lee Taylor, and will deliver a thrilling program of Mozart (“Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, K 493), Schubert (“Strong Trio in B-flat Major, D. 471), and Chopin (“Piano Sonata in B Minor, Op. 58).

For fans of the iconic pop-rock group Fleetwood Mac, dreams – and “Dreams” – will come true on New Year's Eve when Davenport's Redstone Room and All Sweat Productions host the All Sweat series' tribute to Rumours, the game-changing Fleetwood Mac album that's considered by many to be one of the most artistically successful and influential recordings of all time.

Performing a delightful repertoire of jazz standards, iconic pop hits, and seasonal favorites, a 2005 graduate of Rock Island High School returns to the Quad Cities in the Matt Barber Experience Christmas Show, a December 23 concert at Davenport's Grape Life Wine Store & Lounge that will find Barber and his longtime touring musicians performing classics from the six albums he has recorded since 2007.

If the music of Iowa City-based trio Wombat is any indication, Iowa City must have a thriving free-improvisation scene that I had no idea existed.

A Catholic priest with nearly two dozen solo and group albums to his credit, Fr. Stan Fortuna brings his quartet to Davenport's Redstone Room as featured guests in Polyrhythms' Third Sunday Jazz Series, the December 19 concert showcasing the gifts of this nationally renowned singer/songwriter and bass player who will perform alongside pianist Derel Monteith, saxophonist Peter Hart, and drummer Manuel Lopez III.

Described by PopMatters as “a talent to keep an eye on,” as well as “a winning songwriter who manages to mix humor with traditional country sentiment without falling into hokey pastiche,” Nashville's Alex Williams makes his debut appearance at Davenport's Raccoon Motel on December 17, his 2017 album debut Better Than Myself inspiring RoughStock to call the singer/songwriter “an artist who is right up there with Jamey Johnson, Jason Isbell, and Chris Stapleton.”

A rock sensation hugely admired by his peers, with Peter Frampton describing him as “the next guitar hero” and Steve Miller calling him an artist “in the Stevie Ray Vaughan area of virtuosity and originality,” Matthew Curry headlines a December 16 concert at Davenport's Redstone Room, the native of Bloomington, Illinois, lauded for songs that, according to American Artists, "reflect his style and sound, yet no two sound exactly the same."
