SCOTT COUNTY, IOWA (April 16, 2026) — On Wednesday, April 15, at approximately 6:31PM, Davenport Police responded to the 1900 block of E 38th St in reference to the report of shots fired.

Investigators located handgun casings on scene.

During the investigation, a gunshot victim arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle, which initiated their lockdown protocols.

The victim, an eighteen-year-old female, was treated for serious injuries and is in stable condition.

On its 2,300-mile journey, the Mississippi River transforms from a sky-blue trickle of a creek to an earth-toned torrent, collecting water from 32 US states and two Canadian provinces before finally spilling into the sea.

WHITEWATER, WISCONSIN (April 14, 2026) — Hannah Gault of Moline, Illinois, an Elementary Middle Education major, at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is one of thirteen student-athletes from Warhawk teams who were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) for the 2025-26 winter season.

Gault is a member of the UW-Whitewater women's swimming and diving team.

SCOTT COUNTY, IOWA (April 13, 2026) — On April 13, 2026 at approximately 1213 hours, Scott Emergency Communications Center received a report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries at 216th St and Great River Road, just north of LeClaire.

Great River Rd/HWY 67 is a two-lane north/south road in eastern Scott County.

The accident happened between LeClaire and Princeton Iowa at 216th St.
