DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 1, 2026) — St Ambrose University is aligning its  Physician Associate (PA) program with a growing national movement to modernize the profession’s title from “physician assistant” to “physician associate,” reflecting the evolving role of these highly trained health-care providers.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (May 4, 2026) — Des Moines University (DMU) Medicine and Health Sciences honored 48 individuals, including thirteen veterans, at this year's Body Donation Remembrance Ceremony. The annual service took place at 10:30AM, Saturday, May 2, in the Olsen Center at the DMU 32 Health and Business Complex in Des Moines.

DMU faculty, staff, students, and families gathered to remember those who generously donated their bodies to advance medical education.
