DES MOINES, IOWA (June 24, 2025) — Hundreds of Iowans gathered at Principal Park on June 21 for the third annual BBQ and Brew at the Ballpark, raising more than $20,000 to support food banks across the state. The family-friendly event was presented by the Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) in partnership with the Iowa Cubs and Fareway Stores.

MISSISSIPPI STATE, MISSISSIPPI (June 30, 2025) — Drew Micek, of Bettendorf, Iowa, was named to the Mississippi State University Spring 2025 Deans' List.

To be named to the Deans' List, a student must have achieved a grade-point average between 3.5 and 3.79, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least twelve semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.
