MOLINE, ILL INOIS (January 5, 2026) — The Black Box Theatre located in downtown Moline will celebrate its tenth season with a series of area premieres. Co-founder and artistic director Lora Adams said, “It’s hard to believe it has been ten years since David Miller and I opened the doors to The Black Box Theatre, but here we are.”

BATON ROUGE, LOUISANA (January 5, 2026) — Brandon Ogle of Bettendorf, Iowa, was recently elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, at The University of Texas at Arlington.

ANGOLA, INDIANA (January 5, 2026) — Hoang Nguyen Truong of Davenport completed requirements for a degree from Trine University at the end of the Fall 2025 semester.

Truong earned a degree in Master of Science in Engineering Management at Trine.

ANGOLA, INDIANA (January 5, 2026) — Cindy Goeden of East Moline, Illinois, a Trine University student, was named to the President's List for the Fall 2025 semester.

Goeden is majoring in Management.

To earn President's List honors, Trine University students must complete a minimum of twelve hours and have a grade-point average of 3.750-4.000.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (January 5, 2026) — The Quad City Storm won its weekend series against the Evansville Thunderbolts with a road victory Friday and home victory Sunday.

Netminder Zane Steeves recorded both victories making 32 saves on 33 shots Friday and 33 saves on 34 shots Sunday.

Friday night in Evansville, Nick McHugh started the scoring for the Storm with a powerplay goal; his first of the season.
