RIPON, WISCONSIN (April 21, 2023) — Ripon College held its Spring 2023 Catalyst Day on Wednesday, April 19. Held each fall and spring, Catalyst Day is designed to showcase Ripon College's Catalyst curriculum and celebrate the achievements of the students who are completing the junior-level collaborative capstone. Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to watch teams of students present problem-solving projects that tackle worldwide issues.

UNIVERSITY, MISSISSIPPI (April 21, 2023) — Elizabeth Howard, of Muscatine, Iowa, majoring in Mathematics, was among the more than seventy University of Mississippi students to receive a 2023 Marcus Elvis Taylor Memorial Medal, the university's highest academic award.

The honorees were recognized for their achievements on Thursday, April 13, with a dinner at The Inn at Ole Miss and a ceremony at the Gertrude C Ford Center for the Performing Arts.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (April 20, 2023) — The University of Dubuque’s 171st commencement will recognize and celebrate the academic accomplishments of undergraduate, graduate, and seminary students with two ceremonies on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

The University of Dubuque Spring Commencement will be held at 1PM in the Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center. Doors will open at 11:30AM. Forty-nine graduate students and 232 undergraduate students are eligible to participate in the ceremony.

WAVERLY, IOWA (April 20, 2023) — Roberto Munoz, of East Moline, was one of nine Wartburg College students to present at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research (NCUR) April 13-15 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Munoz presented "Vidutolimod uptake by leukocytes: elucidating the role of granulocytes & the impact on their activation."

Deep-sea submersible pilot Erika Bergman will speak at 7PM, April 24, in the Dahl Chapel and Auditorium. The College's biology and chemistry departments are sponsoring the pre-Scholars Day talk, which is free and open to the public.
