MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE (June 3, 2025) — Helena Agri-Enterprises is awarding Gavin Sloss of Guthrie Center with the Homegrown® Scholarship worth $1,000 to pursue a higher education. Sloss is a graduate of ACGC High School and is entering Iowa State University to study agricultural studies. Helena’s Homegrown Scholarship is open to graduating high-school seniors from fifteen states who are majoring in an agriculture-related program.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (May 30, 2025) — This summer, Bettendorf Community School District will again offer free meals for kids 18 and under, funded by the USDA Summer Food Service Program. All children are welcome — no registration or ID is required. Meals must be eaten on-site.
