ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 7, 2025) — Augustana College promoted Public Safety Officer Craig Weeks to sworn officer of Augustana’s Office of Police and Public Safety March 5.

Dr Lena Hann received the prestigious US Fulbright Scholar appointment from the US Department of State and the Fulbright Commission Sweden. During her Fulbright time, she served as guest researcher at Uppsala’s Centre for Gender Research and worked with the WHO Collaborating Centre at Karolinska Institutet's Department of Women's and Children's Health

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 4, 2025) — The Augustana College Biology Department invites campus nature and science lovers to a collaborative mural event featuring local beetle diversity.

The event begins at 1PM, March 14, at Hanson Hall of Science, 738 35th St, Rock Island. The mural will be installed by Augustana students and faculty on the building’s third floor.

WAVERLY, IOWA (March 3, 2025) — Robert Matera has been accepted into the Wartburg College Teacher Education Program.

Matera, of Davenport, Iowa, had to demonstrate effective reflective components in teaching and complete several other requirements to be considered for the program.

Admission to the Teacher Education Program allows students to begin professional-education courses in their field.
