DAVENPORT, IOWA (January 7, 2020) — Gilda’s Club Quad Cities will host a free workshop for people affected by cancer entitled "Frankly Speaking About Cancer: Metastatic Breast Cancer." The program will explore metastatic breast-cancer treatment, side-effect management, and psychosocial aspects of the illness. This free workshop will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, 5:30-7:30PM, at Gilda’s Club Quad Cities (1234 E River Drive).

DAVENPORT, IOWA (January 6, 2020) — Gilda’s Club and Genesis Cancer Care Institute are pleased to announce that they are now accepting registration for their 2020 Cancer Retreats to be held at Gilda’s Club Quad Cities (1234 E River Drive).

The retreats are open to cancer patients/survivors from the Quad Cities area and one adult support person (spouse,family member or friend). Options to attend are Saturday, March 21, 2020, 8AM–5PM, or Saturday, June 13, 2020, 8AM–5PM.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (December 10, 2019) — Students and staff in 143 additional schools across Iowa have a healthy new feature in their school buildings this fall. Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation, along with several public/private partners, donated more than $685,000 in Elkay water-bottle filling-stations, toothbrushes, water-bottles, and Rethink Your Drink educational kits, which will impact 77,100 students and staff members.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 10, 2019) — Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research is looking for people between the ages of 21 and 65 with low-back pain to take part in a clinical study.

“We’re excited about this research,” said lead research clinician and professor Robert Vining DC/DHSc. "This study can potentially shine more light on how chiropractic care influences some types of back pain."
