DES MOINES, IOWA (August 12, 2019) — Sixty-eight FFA members exhibited 420 birds in the FFA Poultry Show judged Thursday at the 2019 Iowa State Fair.

Jennifer Holliday of Nodaway Valley showed the Grand Champion Market Broiler. Noah Oldenburger of Aplington-Parkersburg claimed the Reserve Champion Market Broiler title.

Hunter Britton of Muscatine won the Grand Champion Breeding Birds title while Skyler Windy of Pleasantville claimed the Reserve Champion Breeding Birds.

DES MOINES, IA (08/12/2019) — The Apiary competition brought out the buzz among competitors when it was judged prior to the start of the 2019 Iowa State Fair.

All exhibitor entries were products of the exhibitor's apiary unless otherwise specified. Entries will be on display throughout the Fair, 9AM-9PM in the John Deere Agriculture Building sponsored by Alliant Energy.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 11, 2019) — Grand Champion honors were awarded Thursday in the FFA Market and Carcass Lamb shows at the 2019 Iowa State Fair.

Champion Market Lamb was awarded to Brooke Kuesel of Victor. Phoebe Sanders of Eagle Grove claimed the Reserve Champion Market Wether title.

The judges viewed 321 animals from 157 exhibitors in the Market Lamb division and 87 animals from 73 exhibitors in the Carcass division.
