MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 13, 2019) — Paul Plagenz has been hired to assist with building The Moline Foundation’s capacity to serve the area communities through strategic donor partnerships and grant-making. Additionally, Paul’s role is to work with the communities they serve to identify their key priorities that will create a lasting impact on the lives of area residents and work with established and newly-created funds to support these initiatives.

However, this year’s fundraiser will be a little different than it has been in the past. IOWA CITY, IOWA (March 25, 2019) — Over 200 members of the 100+ Men Who Care: Hawkeye Chapter have selected Courage Ride to receive their first philanthropy donation of 2019 at their first quarterly meeting on February 21. Courage Ride is an annual charity bike-ride that has raised over $510,000 for sarcoma-cancer research at the University of Iowa’s Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center over the past 14 years.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 20, 2019) — Gilda’s Club will host a free workshop for people affected by cancer entitled: "Frankly Speaking about Cancer: Metastatic Breast Cancer". The program will explore metastatic breast cancer treatment, side-effect management and psychosocial aspects of the illness. This free workshop will take place on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, 5:30-7:30PM, at Gilda’s Club Quad Cities, 1234 East River Drive.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 20, 2019) — Legendary rock group KISS did more than pack the TaxSlayer Center last weekend, they helped the Storm reach their goal of giving back over $100,000 to the community in their inaugural season.

Dubbed as “the community’s team,” Quad City Storm owners John Dawson and Ryan Mosley put their money where their promise was. Over 75 organizations have received checks from the Storm so far this season with three games still to go.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 18, 2019) — A grants submission deadline has been announced by The Moline Foundation. Non-profit, designated as 501(c)(3) organizations are encouraged to apply. The organizations must serve the citizens of Moline and the surrounding region, including the Quad Cities region.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 18, 2019) — Family Resources will hold their annual Opening Doors Gala: A Black Tie A-Fair on Friday, April 12, 2019, at the Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf, Iowa. The evening includes live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, dinner, and a live and silent auction. Local entertainers, magician David Casas, and juggler Zach Metzler will perform strolling entertainment during cocktail hour. In addition, singer Freddy Allen will perform live.
