QUAD CITIES (February 18, 2019) — Members of Jaycees of the Quad Cities will present a $2,500 check to WQPT Quad Cities PBS Imagination Station’s Planning Committee, at Western Illinois University QC Campus, 3300 River Drive, Moline, Illinois, Riverfront Hall-WQPT Office, on February 27, 2019, at 5:15PM.

QUAD CITIES (February 18, 2019) — Members of Jaycees of the Quad Cities along with members of Nestle-Purina Employees’ Outreach Committee will present a $350 check to the Hope at the Brick House, 1431 N Ripley St Davenport, Iowa, on February 26, 2019 at 5:15PM. Since the 1980s, the Jaycees of the Quad Cities has sponsored Jaycees Santa, which adopts multiple non-profits in the Quad Cities area to fulfill their support needs around the holidays.

QUAD CITIES (February 14, 2019) — Over 2 million pounds of food were distributed last year to nearly 160,000 individuals at Churches United of the Quad City Area’s 25 neighborhood food pantries and three free hot meal sites.

That’s double the amount of food distributed just two years ago!

Quad Cities, IA/IL — The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce board of directors has promoted Zenaida Landeros as its Executive Director. Landeros is the first Latina to lead the Hispanic chamber, the only business advocacy organization in the Quad Cities dedicated specifically for the needs of the Hispanic business community.

Volunteers at our 13 food pantries in Scott County will offer fresh food to individuals and families in need this summer, thanks to a generous $18,000 grant from the Scott County Regional Authority.

Churches United of the Quad City Area gratefully acknowledges the continued support of our hunger and shelter ministries by the Mary Iva Gittens Knouse Trust.

This $2,000 grant award will help us serve individuals and families at our 24 neighborhood food pantries, 3 hot meal sites and Winnie’s Place, the only emergency shelter in the Illinois Quad Cities for homeless women and children who may have survived domestic abuse.
