The Bettendorf Discovery Shop in Cumberland Square is excited to announce that their Annual Holiday Open House will be held on Sunday, November 19th from noon to 4 pm.

Rock Island, IL A $1,500 award was granted to the Christian Care Center in Rock Island, IL. The funds will be used to build two additional vegetable garden beds at the shelter. “By providing safe shelter, support and resources, Christian Care empowers the homeless to make positive changes in every aspect of their lives.” The garden will help defray the cost of fresh vegetables for our meal service.

October 25, 2017- The Komen Quad Cities Race for the Cure is proud to announce the honorary survivor chairs for the annual Race during breast cancer awareness month.

Unique to the event, two women will serve as honorary survivor chairs for the first time in the Race’s 28-year history. Donna Kinzer and Cheryl Prohaska, both breast cancer survivors, will share their stories of sisterhood breast cancer.

At 89 years old, she didn’t receive too many visitors, let alone Christmas gifts. In fact, it was the ONLY Christmas gift she had received.
