River Bend Foodbank and Bank of America partner to help individuals who face hunger through Give A Meal program

Davenport, IA – Bank of America is partnering with River Bend Foodbank through their Give a Meal program to help the 1 in 8 adults and 1 in 5 children who face hunger in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. This program helps reduce food insecurity in our community and in communities around the country. For every $1 donated ONLINE, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation will give $2 more, up to $1.5 million nationwide.

QC Homeless get some help this week

Local organizations that help the homeless will be getting some financial help this week..... The local not for profit….In From the Cold…. will be handing out its annual grants at a news conference on Wednesday, October 25 at 10:00 am at the Center for Active Seniors (1035 W Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA). In From the Cold is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.   Board members will hand out this year's grants to 10 organizations. Community Health Care, Inc. $1,500.00

Aramark Day of Caring 2017

Aramark Building Community Day is a single day of company-wide volunteerism devoted to helping people and families succeed. On Wednesday, September 20, 2017, Aramark will spend the day at Arrowhead Youth and Family Services (aka Arrowhead Ranch). Aramark’s team of volunteers will spend the day erecting a garden shed as well as preparing and serving a lunch for the Quad City community on Arrowhead’s Coal Valley campus. Lunch will be served at 12:00 noon and is free to the public.
