TPQC Requests School Supply Donations for the Less Fortunate

 

LeClaire, LeClaire, Iowa (July 2017) - Gilda’s Club is excited to announce it will be moving the 5th Annual Bags & Brews event to LeClaire, Iowa.  This years’ event will be held on Saturday, September 23rd from 2:30 - 7 p.m. at the Riverfront Levee/Pavilion in LeClaire, Iowa (117 South Front Street).

Winnie’s Place, the only emergency shelter for women and children in the Illinois Quad Cities, gratefully accepts a generous $2,500 grant award from Modern Woodmen of America.

IOWA FALLS, Iowa (June 30, 2017) - Iowa Select Farms and the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation announce the kickoff of their "Haul Out Hunger" program which will conclude with the donation and delivery of 56,220 pounds of fresh pork loins to food pantries throughout Iowa. 

Churches United of the Quad City Area is pleased to accept a generous $2,000 grant award from Iowa 80 Group, Inc.

Funds will be used to assist in covering general operating costs that help Churches United keep food on the table at our 3 hot meal sites and on the shelves at 26 food pantries in the Iowa and Illinois Quad Cities.

Celebrate the 4th and help feed the hungry by bringing donations of nonperishable food items to the annual Bettendorf parade and festival. Volunteers and staff at Churches United of the Quad City Area will be accepting donations along the parade route and during the festival under our tent located at Spruce Hills Drive and Middle Road. All food collected will go directly to the 26 food pantries and 3 hot meal sites operated by Churches United in the Quad Cities.

Davenport, IA CASI would like to thank the Victor and Doris Day Foundation for their recent grant of $15,000 supporting Senior Advocacy services in our community. In light of the recent United Way decisions, which defunded both the Senior Advocacy and Jane’s Place Adult Day Services programs, the Day Foundation was one of our first partners to offer CASI the opportunity to amend our FY18 grant application to support senior services cut by the United Way. Th

Churches United of the Quad City Area gratefully accepts a $15,000 grant award from the Doris & Victor Day Foundation.

This grant award will be used specifically to purchase supplies for 26 food pantries and three meal sites and fund direct services at Winnie’s Place, our emergency shelter for women, without or without children, who are homeless and/or survivors of domestic violence.

DAVENPORT, Iowa  – Staff and volunteers of Family Resources will be collecting brand new basic need items outside of 13 area Hy-Vee stores from 9 a.m.-Noon on Saturday, June 24, 2017. All items collected will benefit Family Resources’ sheltering and housing services.
