MOLINE, ILLINOIS (December 16, 2019) — The Stanley Cup returns to the Quad Cities for the first time in four years as the Storm celebrate Radar’s first birthday Friday, December 20, at 7PM.

The TaxSlayer Center doors will open to the general public at 6PM and the Stanley Cup will remain on display on the arena concourse until the start of the third period.

AMES, IOWA (December 13, 2019) — Adaptive Sports Iowa, a non-profit committed to providing sports and recreation opportunities for Iowans with physical disabilities, has begun generating donations through the Hy-Vee Giving Tag Program.

The Hy-Vee Giving Tag Program, which launched in November 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where customers live and work.

 

BETTENDORF, IOWA (November 27, 2019) The Quad City Storm looked a little green during their game against Peoria on Friday — in a good way. As part of their annual John Deere Night, the Storm wore specially-designed John Deere jerseys that were later auctioned off to raise money for United Way of the Quad Cities.

 

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 20, 2019) — This Friday, the Quad City Storm rekindle the Cold War on 74 versus the Peoria Rivermen for John Deere Green Out Night! Fans are encouraged to wear Deere gear to "green out" the TaxSlayer Center.

 

WHITEWATER, WISCONSIN (November 19, 2019) — The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team will compete in the NCAA Division III Championship for the 13th time in the last 15 years and 16th time in program history starting this Saturday, November 23, as it hosts Monmouth (Illinois) in the first round at Perkins Stadium.

Saturday's game will kick off at 12PM.

 

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 15, 2019) — The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will bring their new "Pushing the Limits" World Tour to Moline at the TaxSlayer Center on March 22 at 2PM. Globetrotters' fans will experience even bigger moments and memories, including a live world record attempt at each game. Plus, many markets will feature a glow in the dark performance. 

DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 14, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits announced the addition of Paul Kleinhans-Schulz as the team’s new Assistant General Manager on Thursday afternoon. Kleinhans-Schulz spent the 2019 baseball season serving in the same role for the Fort Myers Miracle.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 13, 2019) — Known for raising money for their community, the Quad City Storm is giving fundraising a new twist. For years, sports teams have sold names on cancer jerseys to honor those who have fought cancer. But the Storm decided to take this opportunity to a new level and sell 1365 names so that every jersey is unique. If all names are sold, the Storm will have raised over $27,000 before one jersey is sold!

ELDRIDGE, IOWA (November 4, 2019) — Who says racquetball is on the decline?

A record 72 racquetball players from eight states will participate in this weekend's Marigold Resources Quad City Open racquetball tournament in Eldridge, Iowa. A full bracket of 16 players will be competing for the 1st-place $1,000 prize in the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) Pro division, including two players ranked in the top 50 in the world.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (October 31, 2019) — On Tuesday, November 5, 10AM-7PM, Quad Citizens are invited to come to the TaxSlayer Center and paint the names of friends, family, coworkers, and anyone who has served or is serving in the United States Military on the ice.

There is no charge for painting names and the Storm will provide paint and brushes. All names will remain on the ice for Salute To Military Night Saturday, November 9, when the Storm take on the Evansville Thunderbolts.
