MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 15, 2022) — The annual Lighting on the Commons will kick off the holiday season in downtown Moline this Saturday, November 19. Spend the afternoon on the John Deere Commons. Festivities begin at 3:30PM and culminate with a lighting ceremony and fireworks beginning at 6PM. Admission to the event is free.

Back again this year are horse-drawn wagon rides, children’s activities, refreshments, and live music. Santa Claus will also be in town for the event.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (November 11, 2022) — In partnership with the Davenport Civil Rights Commission, The Library is hosting "We Are Still Here — An Indigenous Journey" at the Fairmount branch on Wednesday, November 16, 6:30PM.

The presenters will share strands of our past, present, and hopes as Indigenous peoples woven with Native American drumming and storytelling.

This program is intended for adults.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 2, 2022) — The Quad City Storm hosts its fourth annual Salute to Military Ice Painting presented by QCA Pools and Spas Monday November 7, 9AM-7PM.

Quad Citizens are invited to Vibrant Arena at the MARK to paint the names of loved ones who serve or have served in the United States Armed Forces on the ice. The names will remain on the ice for the games next Thursday and Friday.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (October 31, 2022) — The Vibrant Arena’s annual Christmas tree is scheduled to arrive this Wednesday, November 2 at approximately 10:45-11AM. The tree is being donated by the Regency Condo Association in East Moline. Media is invited and encouraged to attend as the tree is raised.
