Take and Make Adult Crafts at the Davenport Public Library

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 16, 2021) — Looking for an easy craft? Each Tuesday during August and September beginning August 3, we will have new take and make adult crafts available at our Eastern, Fairmount, and Main Libraries. Kits will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The FRIENDS of the Davenport Public Library Announce Buy-One/Get-One-Free Sale

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 8, 2021) — The FRIENDS of the Davenport Public Library Bookstore at the Eastern Ave Library (6000 Eastern Ave) will be holding a buy one get one free sale on Saturday, July 24, 10AM-1PM. Plus, all items at the Eastern Ave Bookstore will be 50 cents, and under that day only, with special items for sale, including over 500 comic books at $1.00 each, or 20 for $10, and many beautiful book sets.

Teen Online Book Club Special Edition Hosted by the Davenport Public Library

Bix 7 Hours at Davenport Public Library Main Street Branch

The Fairmount and Eastern branches will be open regular business hours.

Join us Saturday, July 11, 1PM, at Eastern (6000 Eastern Ave) for this unique class that will emphasize equipment and technique for the absolute beginner. If you can boil water, you can brew!

Outdoor Ukulele Concert at the Davenport Public Library

Alan Morrison and Rebecca Casad from AM Guitar Works will perform outside of the Eastern (6000 Eastern Ave) on July 20, 6-8PM. Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, sunblock, and bug-spray, and enjoy some beautiful music.

Race Through Davenport's Past: History and Architecture Along the Bix 7 Route Presented by the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center

String Art at the Davenport Public Library

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 1, 2021) Join us for a night of fun creating string art! High Strung by 3M will demonstrate how to make string artwork on Thursday, July 8, 6PM, at Fairmount (3000 N Fairmount St). You will create a Mason Jar vase with artificial flowers. Space is limited to 15 adult participants.
