ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 23, 2021) Quad City Arts presents the 44th Annual High School Art Invitational at Quad City Arts Gallery in Rock Island, from 27 March-29 April 2021. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (March 10, 2021) — A series of watercolor drawings by an artist whose works have been described as "clairvoyant" is on display in the Len G Everett Gallery of Monmouth College's Hewes Library.

"The Life Hermetic" features 16 watercolor drawings by Scott Espeseth, the Dr Richard K and Gloria T Nystrom Professorial Chair in Fine Arts at Beloit (Wisconsin) College.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 9, 2021) Quad City Arts is pleased to announce the 2021 Arts Dollars grant awards to 25 non-profit organizations, totaling just over $84,000. Since 1979, Quad City Arts grants have provided funding for local artists and non- profit organizations to enrich the quality of life in the Quad City region through the arts. Since 1990 alone, more than $1.4 million has been awarded.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 8, 2021) — The 2021 Quad City Arts Metro Arts Youth Apprenticeship Program is accepting applications through Wednesday, March 31. This program provides area youth ages 15-21 with five-week paid summer apprenticeships. These apprentices will create community-arts projects that positively impact our community. These projects include mural painting, poetry, film, graphic design, and more.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 5, 2021) From March 3-April 28, 2021, Quad City Arts’ Art at the Airport presents aquatic paintings by Brian Buckles of Waterloo, Iowa; fiber tapestries by Rowen Schussheim-Anderson, Davenport; and coiled fiber-baskets by Kelly Hanson of Moline, Illinois.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 5, 2021) — Living Proof Exhibit, which provides the therapeutic benefits of the arts to people impacted by cancer, is seeking entries for its annual exhibition to be held from August 16 to September 30, 2021 in the Charles and Elizabeth Bisignano Art Gallery at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (February 16, 2021) — The Putnam’s next featured exhibit explores portraiture around the world and across time as a reflection of self-identity, popular culture, mythology, and ritual.
