MUSCATINE, IOWA (April 21, 2021) — Muscatine will be one of three stops on the “Dance into Spring” tour, bringing together Ballet Des Moines and Hancher Auditorium. The free outdoor performance will take place on the Muscatine Riverfront on May 2, 5:30PM, and will feature company dancers from Ballet Des Moines, performers from the University of Iowa’s Dance Company, and special guests from the acclaimed Miami City Ballet.

MUSCATINE, IOWA (April 5, 2021) — Artists of all ages and abilities are invited to enter the first-ever Random 5x7 Art Challenge hosted by Sunrise Galleries, 114 E 2nd Street in Downtown Muscatine. All contest entries will be featured in a special exhibit on display at the Sunrise Galleries from May 7–30, 2021.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (April 2, 2021) — Through Facebook and their website, Quad City Arts announced the winners of the 44th Annual High School Art Invitational and presented $6000 in cash prizes and scholarships to area high school students and teachers for excellence in fine art. ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 23, 2021) Quad City Arts presents the 44th Annual High School Art Invitational at Quad City Arts Gallery in Rock Island, from 27 March-29 April 2021. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (March 10, 2021) — A series of watercolor drawings by an artist whose works have been described as "clairvoyant" is on display in the Len G Everett Gallery of Monmouth College's Hewes Library.

"The Life Hermetic" features 16 watercolor drawings by Scott Espeseth, the Dr Richard K and Gloria T Nystrom Professorial Chair in Fine Arts at Beloit (Wisconsin) College.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 9, 2021) Quad City Arts is pleased to announce the 2021 Arts Dollars grant awards to 25 non-profit organizations, totaling just over $84,000. Since 1979, Quad City Arts grants have provided funding for local artists and non- profit organizations to enrich the quality of life in the Quad City region through the arts. Since 1990 alone, more than $1.4 million has been awarded.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 8, 2021) — The 2021 Quad City Arts Metro Arts Youth Apprenticeship Program is accepting applications through Wednesday, March 31. This program provides area youth ages 15-21 with five-week paid summer apprenticeships. These apprentices will create community-arts projects that positively impact our community. These projects include mural painting, poetry, film, graphic design, and more.
