MUSCATINE, IOWA (May 20, 2021) — On May 29, the Muscatine Art Center opens two crowd-pleasing exhibitions that are sure to engage and inspire local residents and visitors alike. “Alterations. tailored solutions to climate change,” an exhibition by artist and environmental educator Nancy Judd, features 15 sculptures that appear to be high-fashion couture but are actually made from garbage, litter, and objects found in nature.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (April 22, 2021) — Quad City Arts is pleased to present the 5th annual Chalk Art Fest, live and in-person this summer!  While last year’s event went virtual with artists chalking up their driveways, porches, and sidewalks, we are thrilled to host this year’s event in the beautiful setting of Schwiebert Riverfront Park, in downtown Rock Island, directly across the street from Quad City Arts headquarters and gallery.

MUSCATINE, IOWA (April 21, 2021) — Muscatine will be one of three stops on the “Dance into Spring” tour, bringing together Ballet Des Moines and Hancher Auditorium. The free outdoor performance will take place on the Muscatine Riverfront on May 2, 5:30PM, and will feature company dancers from Ballet Des Moines, performers from the University of Iowa’s Dance Company, and special guests from the acclaimed Miami City Ballet.

All contest entries will be featured in a special exhibit on display at the Sunrise Galleries from May 7–30, 2021.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (April 2, 2021) — Through Facebook and their website, Quad City Arts announced the winners of the 44th Annual High School Art Invitational and presented $6000 in cash prizes and scholarships to area high school students and teachers for excellence in fine art.
