On June 24, 2017, at 10am, there will be a Paint-by-nature: Pond Life program held at the Wapsi River Environmental Education Center.

In this kid-friendly class that blends nature and art, discover what creatres live in a pond and see if you can catch with a dip net! Then, enjoy some lemonade while you learn to paint a themed picture on canvas in a guided step-by-step experience. $5 per canvas. Please call 563-328-3286 to register

Muscatine Art Center

After more than a year, the historic Musser-McColm House at the Muscatine Art Center is reopening, and the public is invited to celebrate on Thursday, June 1st from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. A ribbon cutting will take place at 3:30 p.m. on the second floor of the historic house.

Bettendorf —Nik LaMaack, a North High School senior, impressed his Family Museum dance instructors during his first (and final) year with the program so much so that he has landed a starring role in the upcoming annual performance. LaMaack studies ballet, jazz, and hip-hop at the Family Museum and is currently rehearsing for his starring role as Dr. Coppélius in the classical ballet, Coppélia. The character Dr.

Quad City Arts Art @ the Airport presents Joan Webster-Vore of Hudson, IA, Linda Sykes of Moline, IL and Dasha Denger of Davenport, IA for the months of May and June.

West Branch, Iowa— Erin Anfinson will be the 2017 Artist-in-Residence at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. The Artist-in-Residence Program promotes creative means of communicating the park's national significance and its relevance to park visitors. Anfinson will be in residence during June and the early part of July. She will lead a free public presentation on Saturday, June 24 at 2 p.m. in the Visitor Center.
