Richard and Karen Carpenter's 1978 Christmas Portrait resides comfortably Billboard's top-25 list of bestselling holiday albums, and on December 3, the unforgettable sounds of iconic pop duo the Carpenters will fill the Adler Theatre when tribute artist Lisa Rock headlines the seasonal celebration A Carpenters Christmas.

Described by The A.V. Club as a group whose “jangled Brit-pop influence buoys its subtle post-punk flairs,” the Chicago-based rockers of NE-HI perform a Moeller Nights concert in support of their 2017 album Offers, a sophomore released lauded by Paste magazine as “proof of a band that is growing up and is prepared to bring more deserved attention to the Windy City’s ever-electrifying rock scene.”

One of America's most acclaimed talents will be the special guest in the Quad City Symphony Orchestra's third Masterworks concerts of the season, as the ensemble's Postcards from Scandinavia program gets an added burst of heat courtesy of award-winning pianist Charlie Albright.

Described by legendary A Prairie Home Companion host Garrison Keillor as “a force on the Minnesota roots music scene and beyond,” the five-piece roots and bluegrass ensemble Pert Near Sandstone plays Davenport's Redstone Room on November 30, with their most recent album Discovery of Honey lauded by CountryStandardTime.com as “a set of songs that's as rousing and robust as any countrified collective on a banner marquee.”

Performing in support of their October 20 release SpiderBeetleBee, the alt-folk guitar duo of Bill MacKay and Ryler Walker will play a November 24 concert at Rozz-Tox, and consequently demonstrate why Paste magazine raved, “Walker and MacKay do nothing less than dazzle with interlocking melodies and modes that can carry your spirit away or stir up long-dormant memories.”

On November 25, the sounds of the season will blend with the sounds of 1950s pop when Maquoketa's Ohnward Fine Art Center presents The Four Preps Holiday Show – a yuletide-themed night with the vocal ensemble fronted by Bruce Belland, performing an incredible 61 years after his Four Preps debut.

Appearing through their U.S. tour that finds the Canadian relatives visiting six states in six days, the folk musicians of Kacy & Clayton perform a November 29 Moeller Nights concert in support of The Siren's Song, the recent album that led NoDepression.com to state, “Like something out of a dreamy folktale, second cousins Kacy & Clayton seem to have been beamed down to us from a hazy summer sky.”

On November 18, R&B will be given a healthy dose of G&C when the Davenport RiverCenter hosts the area arrival of the Up Close & Personal Tour, a night of music and comedy featuring headliners Ginuwine and Case.

Described by Uproxx.com as an outfit that “nestles comfortably between the zany psych-folk of Dr. Dog and the elegant creaminess of Spacebomb’s lush sound,” singer/songwriter Mt Davidson and his Brooklyn-based band Twain perform at the Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel as the latest Moeller Nights concert headliners, and in support of their newest album Rare Feeling.

Drawing from a repertoire featuring a wide array of standards and originals, The Bob Washut Trio – composed of pianist Washut, bass player Alex Pershounin, and drummer Eric Thompson – plays Davenport's Redstone Room as the latest guests in Polyrhythms' monthly “Third Sunday Jazz Workshop & Matinée Series.”
