WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (April 17, 2025) — Alumni, faculty, staff and friends showed up for the seventh annual One Day for DMU campaign and raised an astounding $272,524.86 from 342 individual donors. The 24-hour giving campaign for Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences took place from noon-to-noon April 16-17, and the campus was buzzing with excitement.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 9, 2025) — The Scott County Democrats have awarded two Kirschbaum-Fitzsimmons scholarships worth $1000 each to Grace Ludwig from Pleasant Valley High School and Devan Riberdy from North High School.

Grace Ludwig of Bettendorf, Iowa, plans to attend New York University and major in marketing and journalism.

PELLA, IOWA (April 9, 2025) — A pillar of a Central College education is community service and civic engagement. In Spring 2025, 44 Central students are participating in a service-learning opportunity to build civic engagement.
