PELLA, IOWA (April 9, 2025) — A pillar of a Central College education is community service and civic engagement. In Spring 2025, 44 Central students are participating in a service-learning opportunity to build civic engagement.

Anna Dennis of Davenport (52802) is serving Pella Community High School- Special Education classroom in Pella, Iowa. Dennis is an English major in the Class of 2027.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (April 9, 2025) — “Broadway on Broadway” is returning to campus on April 12, as the Monmouth College Chorale hosts one of its annual fundraising events.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (April 7, 2025) — Two classes from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery have exceeded national averages on the American Podiatric Medical Licensing Examination. Compared to the national passing average of 83%, 95% of DMU's CPMS students pass the exam.

WHITEWATER, WISCONSIN (April 4, 2025) — Hannah Gault, a Elementary Middle Education major from Moline, Illinois, at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is one of fourteen student-athletes from Warhawk teams who were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) for the 2024-25 winter season.

The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.

WASHINGTON DC (April 4, 2025) — The American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) has announced Michael Ben-Avie as the 2025 recipient of the Terrel L Rhodes Game Changer Award. The award recognizes his transformative leadership in general education, pedagogy, and assessment and his pivotal role in developing and advancing the AAC&U VALUE Scoring Collaborative, a groundbreaking system for assessing student learning at scale within and across institutions.
