MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (February 11, 2026) — A Monmouth College graduate who's paired an extremely successful legal career with shaping his world through service and leadership will deliver the keynote address at his alma mater's 169th Commencement Exercises.

Retired attorney Brad Nahrstadt ('89), who's served on the Monmouth College Board of Trustees for nearly a quarter-century, will address the Class of 2026 at noon, May 17, on Wallace Hall Plaza.

WAVERLY, IOWA (February 11, 2026) — Thirty-one Wartburg College students have been accepted into the college's Teacher Education Program.

CHARLESTON, ILLINOIS (February 10, 2026) — Ava Hartman, of Milan, Illinois, has been named to Eastern Illinois University's Fall 2025 Dean's List in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.

Majoring in Environmental Biology, Hartman is among more than 940 EIU students honored for their hard work and dedication in the classroom last semester.

AYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS (February 10, 2026) — The University of Arkansas is recognizing students for earning a place on the Fall 2025 Chancellor's List, the university's highest semester academic honor for undergraduates.

Jacob Rapps of Geneseo joins a select group of students who have achieved a 4.0 grade-point average for the semester while completing at least twelve credit hours of coursework required for graduation.

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA (February 6, 2026) — Michael Henderson of Muscatine has been named to the Deans' Commendation List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the fall semester of the 2025-26 academic year.

Henderson, a junior majoring in PGA golf management, was named to the Dean's Commendation List for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

More than 400 students at Nebraska were named to the Commendation List for the fall semester.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (February 6, 2026) — Monmouth College's annual Great Decisions series on foreign affairs will begin February 11 and run through the next-to-last Wednesday in April.

"One of my favorite aspects of this series is that we always have a diverse audience, including members of our campus community as well as the surrounding community," said political science professor Mike Nelson, who's organized the series the past several years.

MISSISSIPPI STATE, MISSISSIPPI (February 6, 2026) -- Drew Micek, of Bettendorf, Iowa, was named to the Mississippi State University Fall 2025 Deans' List.

To be named to the Deans' List, a student must have achieved a GPA between 3.5 and 3.79, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least twelve semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.
