DES MOINES, IOWA (August 13, 2025) — Five area teachers are among 86 teachers across Iowa that participated in the 2025 Iowa STEM Teacher Externships Program. This program offers teachers the chance to gain hands-on STEM-related work experiences at various local workplaces to help enrich their classroom instruction with real-world applications.

New and updated accolades from The Princeton Review laud Coe as a Top 20 college in the nation across three crucial student support categories. Coe has the N° 11 Best Career Services, is N° 14 for Best Student Support and Counseling Services, and has the N° 18 Most Accessible Professors. Coe is the only college or university in Iowa to earn a ranking in these categories.

LA MIRADA, CALIFORNIA (August 11, 2025) — Andre Builta was named to Biola University's Dean's List for academic excellence.

Builta, a Music Composition major from Rock Island, Illinois, was one of approximately 1,500 students who were named to the Dean's List in spring 2025. Biola students are placed on the Dean's List to honor those with a GPA of 3.6 or higher while enrolled in twelve or more credits and whose cumulative GPA is at least 3.2.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (August 11, 2025) — Augustana College announced more than 1,100 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2024-2025 spring semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

GALESBURG, ILLINOIS (August 6, 2025) — This summer, the labs, observatory, and lecture halls of the Umbeck Science and Mathematics Center at Knox College are seeing a more than normal amount of use as Knox was chosen to be one of fourteen nationwide host sites for SSP International's prestigious Summer Science Program in the field of astrophysics.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (August 5, 2025) — Iowa Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students made their mark at the 2025 FBLA National Leadership Conference from June 29-July 2. FBLA is the nation's largest Career and Technical Student Organization focused on business. Members showcased their exceptional skills and professionalism, earning top placements and recognition among talented students nationwide.
