We may presently be spending most of our time indoors, but Bettendorf's Beréskin Gallery & Art Academy is giving everyone a chance to revel in the great beauty of the venue's home state with the online pastel exhibition Tom Christopher: Reflections of the Iowa Landscape, a collection of richly colored works viewable from April 3 through 30 and boasting an online video reception and artist demonstrations on Friday, April 3.

Works by a trio of Midwestern artists will bid adieu to the winter and welcome the spring at the Quad City Arts International Airport Gallery, with Moline's airport, from March 4 through April 30, housing encaustic paintings by McHenry, Illinois' Cindy Lesperance, color-reduction woodcuts by Peoria's Cathie Crawford, and mixed-media sculptural work by Bettendorf's Dawn Wohlford.

Admirers of the Beréskin Gallery & Art Academy can soon enjoy vacation stops the world over without ever leaving the comforts of their homes, with the Bettendorf venue, through April 30, showcasing works in the online exhibit The Art of Travel that celebrate their artists' travel experiences through a variety of chosen mediums.

A former Quad Citian and St. Ambrose University alumna currently showcasing her Finding God in the Dark: A Retrospective Exhibition in the Galvin Fine Arts Center's Catich and Morrissey Galleries, Rosalind Wilcox will participate in two weekend events at Davenport's university: an artist Q&A and reception on the afternoon of February 28, and a concert performed under Wilcox's stage alias “Mississippi Rose” on the evening of February 29.

Boasting sketches, proposals, and objects on loan from John Deere Archives, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the Albany Institute of History & Art, and the AT&T Archives and History Center, the Figge Art Museum's new exhibition Henry Dreyfuss: Designs for the Modern Age will, from April 13 through June 7, celebrate the legendary industrial designer whose firm styled the John Deere tractor, the Western Electric Model 500 telephone, and numerous other iconic products.

Thorough and fascinating discussion on all facets of the artistic process is scheduled to take place at the Figge Art Museum on February 13, with the Davenport venue hosting 10 gifted visual artists in its presentation Rock Island Art Guild Artist Talks, a chance to meet and learn from Guild members whose works are currently on display in the Figge's 41st Rock Island Art Guild Fine Arts Exhibition.

Beautiful and evocative artworks by a pair of area talents will find a home at the MidCoast at Bucktown Gallery from February 8 through March 28, with the Davenport venue hosting a showcase of collage works by Amber Williams and paintings by Jane Doty.
