Agatha & the Limitless Readings (not rated; FilmScene at the Chauncey: Tuesday, February 24, 7 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

The American President (PG-13; The Last Picture House: Sunday, February 22, 3:45 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

Anything that Moves (not rated; FilmScene at the Chauncey: Wednesday, February 25, 10 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

Avatar: Fire & Ash (PG-13; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas) - The sci-fi wonders are disappointingly familiar, and not just because we only had to wait three years for a new Pandora adventure, as opposed to the 13 that passed between 2009's original Avatar and 2022's The Way of WaterIMDb listing.

Chase Atlantic: Lost in Heaven (not rated; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX: Saturday, February 21, 2:30 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

Cold Storage (R; VIP Cinemas, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - The performers lend considerable charm and/or gravitas to this dopey lark whose insouciance keeps it from ever being adequately intense, and whose sardonic, none-of-this-really-matters-so-why-pretend? smugness keeps it, random chuckles excluded, from being satisfyingly funny. IMDb listing.

The Craft (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX: Sunday, February 22, and Wednesday, February 25) - IMDb listing.

Crime 101 (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - Despite its silly title, this heist thriller what I was hoping Michael Mann's 1995 Heat would be: more varied, less oppressive, open to moments of lightness and spontaneity, and not almost three hours long. IMDb listing.

Dracula (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - Luc Besson's adaptation is two-plus hours of gorgeously designed, nearly operatic excess that's certainly one of the nervier takes on Bram Stoker's material yet produced. IMDb listing.

Elephants: Giants of the Desert (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - IMDb listing.

Final Destination (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX: Friday, February 20, and Monday, February 23) - IMDb listing.

Flight of the Butterflies (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - A bit pokey, but the slow, unspeakably beautiful explosion that is the butterflies' mass exodus is enough to make you believe in God - or, at the very least, in the gods of nature docs. IMDb listing.

GOAT  (PG; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - Advertising the film as “from the artists that made KPop Demon Hunters and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” is really just a grabby way of saying GOAT kind of looks like them, but the animation does have some visual kick, and the script provides a number of decent verbal gags. IMDb listing.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - This fantastically entertaining film is like a big-screen video game, but not in the stultifying Iron Lung way, and with a trio of topnotch Black Mirror episodes tucked inside as a bonus. IMDb listing.

Hamnet (PG-13; FilmScene at the Chauncey) - Although the film is anchored by a ferocious Jessie Buckley and a frequently moving Paul Mescal, it might be impossible, after seeing director/co-writer Chloé Zhao's historical fiction, to reflect on the movie without the face of its titular portrayer coming instantly to mind. IMDb listing.

Hey Bhagawan! (not rated; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - IMDb listing.

Homecoming: The Tokyo Series (not rated; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, Marecus Sycamore Cinema: Monday, February 23) - IMDb listing.

The Housemaid (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - For close to its entire first hour, Paul Feig's psychological thriller is all kinds of fun, primarily because, over the course of those 60ish minutes, Amanda Seyfried seems to embody 60ish types of crazy. IMDb listing.

How to Make a Killing (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, FilmScene on the Ped Mall) - IMDb listing.

I Can Only Imagine 2 (PG; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - IMDb listing.

I Like It Like That (R; FilmScene at the Chauncey: Saturday, February 21, 10 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

I Know What You Did Last Summer (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX: Saturday, February 21, and Tuesday, February 24) - IMDb listing.

Ice Age (PG; FilmScene at the Chauncey) - The humdrum nature of the story is enlivened by some gorgeous animated vistas, smart pacing, and the talents of an entertainingly eclectic group of vocal performers. IMDb listing.

Iron Lung (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - Hands down, the most staggeringly inept video-game adaptation I've ever seen, as no one beyond those familiar with creator David Szymanski's 2022 game could possibly know what's happening on even the most simplistic narrative levels. IMDb listing.

Melania (PG; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas) - IMDb listing.

Midwinter Break (PG-13; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - IMDb listing.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (not rated; The Last Picture House: Saturday, February 21, 1:45 p.m., and Monday, February 23, 6:50 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

The Moment (R; The Last Picture House, FilmScene at the Chauncey) - This Charli XCX mockumentary is sometimes funny, but only in vague, sidelong ways that might be more apparent for those with greater familiarity with its subject. IMDb listing.

My Father's Shadow (not rated; FilmScene on the Ped Mall) - IMDb listing.

Nirvana the Band the Show the Movie (R; FilmScene at the Chauncey) - IMDb listing.

Paul McCartney: Man on the Run (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX: Sunday, February 22, 2 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

Pets on a Train (PG; Marcus Sycamore Cinema) -IMDb listing.

The Princess Bride (PG; Aledo Opera House: Friday, February 20, through Sunday, February 22) - IMDb listing.

Psycho Killer (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - IMDb listing.

Scream 7: Opening Night Fan Event (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX: Thursday, February 26, 6 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

Send Help (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas. Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - Sam Raimi's survival thriller is the ultimate “revenge on a horrible boss” comedy, and far nastier and funnier than Horrible Bosses itself. IMDb listing.

Singin' in the Rain (G; Aledo Opera House: Thursday, February 26, 6 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

Solo Mio (PG; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas) - IMDb listing.

The Strangers: Chapter 3 (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - What can I say? At least it's over, and at least it's ending with the least offensive of its three parts. IMDb listing.

Superpower Dogs (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - Daniel Ferguson provides enough globe-trotting action for a James Bond flick, treating us to first-rate training footage and re-created missions in locales ranging from the Canadian Rockies to the Italian coast to a debris-strewn site near New York's Ground Zero. IMDb listing.

T. Rex (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - IMDb listing.

This Is Not a Test (R; Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - IMDb listing.

Twenty One Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined (not rated; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX: Wednesday, February 25, and Thursday, February 25) - IMDb listing.

The Untamed (not rated; FilmScene at the Chauncey: Sunday, February 22, 4 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

West Side Story (not rated; Aledo Opera House: Saturday, February 21, 3 p.m., and Sunday, February 22, 6 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

Wild Africa (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - IMDb listing.

Wild Rescue (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - IMDb listing.

"Wuthering Heights" (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas, The Last Picture House, FilmScene at the Chauncey, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - Emerald Fennell's aggressive, hyper-symbolic, 140-minute Emily Brontë adaptation produces an oppressive lightheadedness – the kind you'd feel after five rides on the same roller coaster, or a meal composed solely of greasy fast food and candy. IMDb listing.

Zootopia 2 (PG; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, VIP Cinemas, Marcus Sycamore Cinema)) - Disney's sequel is almost as great as 2016's original Zootopia, which makes it almost one of the sharpest, wittiest, funniest comedies of its decade. IMDb listing.
