East Moline, IL – Gregg Johnson, Democratic candidate for Illinois State Senate District 36, announced at a campaign stop on Sunday that he will donate his entire legislative salary to local non-profits hurt by the 700-day budget crisis created by Governor Rauner and State Senator Anderson.

Congress has passed a minibus appropriations bill containing two of the 12 appropriations bills and a continuing resolution until December 7 covering any appropriations bills that have not yet been passed. The minibus now goes to the President for his signature. Last week, the President signed a separate minibus containing three of the 12 bills.

Republican Governor Kim Reynolds and Democratic candidate Fred Hubbell have agreed to three gubernatorial debates. The debates will feature the Democratic and Republican nominees in Des Moines, Sioux City, and Davenport. The campaigns have accepted invitations from hosts for the following dates and locations:

WASHINGTON – Sens. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Dianne Feinstein of California, Orrin Hatch of Utah, Rob Portman of Ohio and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota introduced the bipartisan Missing Children’s Assistance Act of 2018. The bill would reauthorize the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and continue the fight against child abduction and exploitation.
