WASHINGTON DC, February 14, 2019 — Assistant to the Secretary for Rural Development Anne Hazlett today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is giving funding priority in a key grant program for applications to address opioid misuse in rural communities.

Through such agreements, hedge-funds and other commercial lenders finance the cost of civil litigation in return for a portion of any recovery.
