JOHNSTON, IOWA (February 8, 2019) — On Wednesday, February 13, Governor Kim Reynolds will sign a proclamation establishing February 13 "Iowa Public Television Day" in the state of Iowa in celebration of IPTV's 50 years of educating, informing, enriching and inspiring Iowans.

WASHINGTON DC (February 8, 2019) — Congressman Dave Loebsack released the following statement today after the House passed HR 840, The Veterans' Access to Child Care Act. This legislation will make permanent, and expand, the VA’s Child Care Pilot Program to ensure our veterans have access to convenient, safe and cost-free child care when they have VA medical appointments, including mental healthcare appointments. The pilot program was established in 2010 at four VA facilities.

Today, I want to express my strong concerns about countries around the world potentially implementing discriminatory tax laws that target US-based multinational companies operating in the high-tech, or digital, industry.

QUAD CITIES (February 7, 2019) — Today, the Illinois State Senate voted to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. The bill increased the state’s minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2025 and $13 an hour for those under 18 by 2025. The total vote was 39-18. The Quad Cities Chamber worked closely with Senator Neil Anderson to secure his “no” vote.
