Bettendorf, IA (December 1, 2017, 6 to 9 p.m.) Artwork from the "Art Meets the River" calendar will be on exhibit through the holidays at the Beréskin Gallery and Art Academy. The third year of the project features five local artists utilizing different art forms to further showcase the talent in the Quad Cities. "Many local artists use our environment as inspiration so it seemed fitting to represent different art mediums in the project." says project coordinator and artist Heid Brandt.

This year's theme is Fire & Ice featuring ice sculpting by Robert Storm and raku firing with Joel Knanishu.
 
The Rock Island Art Guild's 40th Fine Arts Exhibition Call for Entries is now open. Artists within a 150 mile radius of Rock Island, Illinois are encouraged to enter up to two original works of art that must have been created in the last five years.
