A true-life tale involving social reformer Frederick Douglass, iconic author Harriet Beecher Stowe, and the United States' first public discussions about abolition, the historical drama Sons & Daughters of Thunder will be screened at the Moline Public Library on February 6, with the locally produced film boasting the talents of filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle and more than two dozen familiar area performers.

An artistic talent whose works are so voluminous they're currently on display in two separate galleries in St. Ambrose University's Galvin Fine Arts Center, former Quad Citian and SAU alumna Rosalind Wilcox showcases her Finding God in the Dark: A Retrospective Exhibition in the university's Catich and Morrissey Galleries through March 6, the works created by a legally blind artist who also enjoys careers as a singer, songwriter, percussionist, and guitarist.

Touring in support of his 2019 release Fire & Brimstone, a recording the Digital Journal called “authentic and compelling” and “one of his best albums to date,” country-rock superstar Brantley Gilbert takes the stage at Moline's TaxSlayer Center on January 30, his career achievements including multi-platinum sales, a trio of studio-album chart-toppers, and a “Favorite Country Music” citation from the American Music Awards.

With Metal Insider describing the band's 2019 recording Warpaint as “one of their most accessible, hard-rocking albums to date,” the California-based musicians of Buckcherry headline a February 1 concert at East Moline venue The Rust Belt, treating fans to the signature sounds that have led to platinum-selling success, numerous top-five albums on the Billboard charts, and two Grammy Award nominations for “Best Hard Rock Performance.”
