MOLINE, ILLINOIS (October 14, 2024) — The Quad City Storm opens the 2024-2025 season Saturday, October 19, at 7:10PM versus the Peoria Rivermen. This weekend’s game marks the beginning of the Storm’s sixth season in franchise history. Head coach Shayne Toporowski will lead the team in his first game as a head coach in professional hockey.

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (August 20, 2024) — Special Olympics Illinois is proud to announce four Illinois athletes have been selected to join the Special Olympics USA delegation at the 2025 Special Olympics World Games in Turin, Italy. These athletes will compete on the world stage from March 8-16, 2025, showcasing their abilities and representing Illinois with pride.

Visiting two states synonymous with dirt racing lore, the Series regulars will race four nights at three new dirt tracks in the form of Highland Speedway, Spoon River Speedway, and Maquoketa Speedway.

CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA (August 9, 2024) — Brian Shirley’s 2024 World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Models campaign can be summed up in a tell of two tales.

Before the June Heartland Grand Tour, Shirley only managed three top-tens, sat outside of the top-ten in Series points, and held an average finish of 17.1 through eleven races.

Iowa Bicycle Coalition Executive Director Luke Hoffman has been selected by the Racoon River Valley Trail Association to lead a bike ride at 11AM on August 17, starting at the Racoon River Valley Trailhead in Perry to mark the occasion. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will follow at 1PM.
