Originally conceived by Louise Harrison (who passed away in January at age 91) as a tribute to her younger brother's world-famous band, the touring sensation Liverpool Legends: The Complete Beatles Experience lands at Davenport's Adler Theatre on November 25, treating audience to a pitch-perfect approximation of a Beatles experience and multi-media celebration of the group that changed the music world forever.

On November 24, two touring tribute acts will deliver one exhilarating night of country hits when East Moline venue hosts its co-headlining concert with Tennessee Whiskey: A Tribute to Chris Stapleton and The Eric Church Experience, a celebration of the Nashville-based singer/songwriters and their chart-topping, award-winning, multi-platinum-selling discographies.

An Indianapolis-based folk-pop duo currently touring in support of their new album Night Swim, singers, songwriters, and sisters Lily and Madeleine Jurkiewicz – better known by their stage moniker Lily & Medeleine – headline a November 28 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, their latest recording inspiring No Depression to rave, "Their voices blend so beautifully it’s tempting to believe true love must exist somewhere."

Last Tuesday, November 7, Chicago Teachers Union lobbyist Kurt Hilgendorf told the Illinois Senate Executive Committee that the union had only “one problem” with Senate President Don Harmon’s elected Chicago school board bill. Hilgendorf praised much of the bill during his testimony. But the Chicago Teachers Union has claimed for years that it wants a fully-elected school board, just like every other school district in the state. Right now, all board members are appointed by the mayor.

Following last year's hugely successful presentation of Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix, as well as the franchise hits Sorcerer's Stone in 2017, Chamber of Secrets in 2018, Prisoner of Azkaban in 2019, and Goblet of Fire in 2021, the Quad City Symphony Orchestra returns to Davenport's Adler Theatre on November 18 to perform live accompaniment for Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth movie smash adapted from J.K. Rowling's iconic fantasy/adventure novels.
