DES MOINES, IOWA (July 23, 2026) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate presented the John Lewis Youth Leadership Award to two groups of Iowans who have demonstrated meaningful commitment to addressing civil rights issues and bringing about authentic change in their communities. Nominations for the John Lewis Youth Leadership Award were open to Iowa residents aged 25 years or under.

MISSISSIPPI STATE, MISSISSIPPI (July 22, 2026) — More than 3,500 students are on the spring 2026 Graduation List at Mississippi State University (MSU). Recent graduates include:

Katia Clymer, of Davenport, Iowa. Clymer received the Master of Sci Instr Tech from MSU's College of Education.

Pedro Rodriguez-Duran, of Davenport, Iowa. Rodriguez-Duran received the Master of Science from MSU's Bagley College of Engineering.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (July 21, 2026) — Students in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at Des Moines University (DMU) Medicine and Health Sciences recently won the Promote OT Challenge for the state of Iowa.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KENTUCKY (July 21, 2026) — Savannah Ives of Rock Island, Illinois, has been named to Spring 2026 Dean's List at Campbellsville University

The Dean's List honors full-time undergraduate students who have achieved outstanding academic success during the fall or spring semester. Students who earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher are recognized for their academic accomplishments and dedication to excellence.

ATHENS, OHIO (July 21, 2026) — Ohio University Russ College of Engineering and Technology student Sinou Damadogbe of Carbon Cliff, Illinois, has been named to OHIO's Spring 2026 Provost's List.

At the end of each semester, Ohio University's undergraduate students are evaluated based on their semester GPA and hours to determine placement on the President's List, Dean's List, or Provost's List.

GRINNELL, IOWA (July 15, 2026) — The Midwest Conference announced its 2025-26 Academic All-Conference Team, recognizing 1,708 student-athletes for success in academics and athletics over the past academic year.

MISSISSIPPI STATE, MISSISSIPPI (July 15, 2026) — Drew Micek, of Bettendorf, Iowa, was named to the Mississippi State University spring 2026 President's List.

Students on the President's List achieved a 3.80 or better GPA, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least twelve semester hours of coursework.
